I am a woman with a few mommy tendencies but with a twist. I truly do like watching ballgames, drinking in bars, playing golf, etc. just as men do.
I, however, have been using the same suggestions as published in your fantastic book to get away from my husband for years. I have my own pouch, know everything about "key words" regarding timing, AAQWAQ, and the value of a cell phone. I have friends that I am constantly with that my husband has never met. It is very convenient that all close friends live at least 30 to 45 minutes away. This allows for extra time to be spent when you "travel in the same car to an event, and need to take your friend home".
Of course, any man that I am friends with immediately gets a new female name. This keeps things straight (and calm) when I am relaying information on where I have been with my friends, without my husband. Wonderful idea you left out of your book, is to always work "out-of-town".
I can give you gentlemen a few pointers if you write a Married-to-Mommy 2.
I bought your book and hid it from my husband. There is great comfort in the ignorance of others. Did you really think that men are the only ones who want freedom to pursue personal interests?
What Will Happen when men find out the truth?
Dear M,
Is your ex-groom overly critical of your activities? Is that why you are a bit deceptive with him?
Though extremely rare, we have heard of cases in which the tables are turned and a male Mommy rules the roost with worry, moods, and a penchant for practicality.
Could your hubby be one of these rarist of the rare?
