A Mommy Gene?

From: Darwin in Seattle

Question

At some point you have to tell people that it's all for fun, right? I mean, you guys are kidding, aren't you?

Being a woman, I'd like to know how can I find out if my mother is a "Mommy" so I can see if I have the gene? Maybe it's recessive... That would mean that the father would have to also have a recessive "Mommy" gene to make me a "Mommy", which would mean that my brother has at least a 50% chance of being a "Mommy" too. Hmmmmm.... : )

Congratulations on the article; you guys are kinda cute.

Dear Darwin

Even though no woman is 100% Mommy, there’s a little Mommy lurking in every wife!

Regrettably, the Mommy Manifestation (MM) is as genuine as Trent Lott’s hair! Even though some of it may not be real, enough is to warrant extreme caution or at least a morbid curiosity.
