Nashville Non-Mommy!

From: Duh.

Question

I want to say in defense of women like me, I HATE those women who do the "mommy" thing.

I refuse to cut my long hair because most men, and myself love it!

I was married once, for 12 years. We got divorced because he wanted kids & I didn't. I liked our life as it was. He's now married to a woman who can't/won't drive and can't/won't work. Just has his kid & house to take care of.

I refuse to wear "mommy" type clothes, ever, no matter what age I am. I never was one for sexy undies, however, either in my 20's or now. Was never asked to & didn't see the need…I have "other" ways of "stimulating" my man.

Oh, and let me address THIS...what's up with men who call their wives "mother"? And women who call their husbands "father" or "dad". These are usually women of a "certain" age & generation. That's just STRANGE.

What Happened?

Dear Nashville,

You seem to be a rarity. We applaud your non-Mommy ways!

Maybe the Mommy phenomenon is bi-coastal. Perhaps a softer, more “southern” approach allows for a less Mommy-like mentality. The professors are on the case and will research this theory.

1.On your divorce- you had a successful ten-plus year run (his “best years”) and now he’s with someone he can handle.

2.As for “undies”, wear what you will, be yourself. If someone has to ask, you may be miss-matched.

3. Guys calling their wives “Mommy” or “Mother” isn’t so much from a particular generation as it is from an overly tame and subdued lifestyle. Almost British. It still happens regularly. Kinda scary, isn’t it?
