From: Anon.
I recently left my 1st Mommy in what I hope to be an amicable separation and divorce. Unfortunately, she's not exactly what you might call "amicable". She says that our marriage has "FAILED". I feel we just aren't right for each other, that we should be happy with 20+ years together that were mostly good. Am I wrong thinking 20 years together isn't so bad? Is our marriage really a failure?
What Happened?
Dear Departed,
This is a website for married guys, of which you are soon to be not. That being said, the answer to your question is simple. Back when marriage was invented life was difficult, brutish, and short. With human life expectancy less than 30 years, any marriage commitment would last, at most, about 15 years. Hell, you beat that by five years! Now you must simply employ the Vietnam Endgame: Declare victory and beat a hasty retreat!
